With a BANG!
So, its official, we are leaving in 3days…and we couldn’t be more excited! Over the past few weeks, the Lord has used many of you to encourage us and support us. We couldn’t do it without you behind us, that is a fact! On July 24, we hosted a prayer dinner at Northwood Church. We covered the tables with Newspaper, put facts about world poverty on the table, and demonstrated what kind of water people drink in a large number of countries in the world. But don’t worry, we did remember to make sure and note that this water was NOT DRINKABLE! Ha!

Goodness, the night went way better than we could have ever planned. The spirit was in the room, and speaking through us. Normally, I am NOT a speaker, and most of you know this to be a scary little obstacle of mine. Jesus reminded me that I was just speaking on his behalf of what he has been teaching and speaking into my life. So, we just spoke and had fun! It occurred to me that everyday he has been teaching me more and more about trusting him FULLY, with HIS plan, not mine. That the dinner, the funds, the prayer, the school, the missions, and my life…are all for him. So really, it’s not my burden. Yes, I will do my best to honor and listen to him, but I finally experienced the peace that comes with letting Jesus be in full control! Man, its amazing! To those of you who were able to attend, thank you so much! It meant SO much to us! It was awesome to just have “the family” there. To eat dinner together, to worship, and talk about Him. To those of you who have been praying for us, and supporting us financially, Thank you SO much! God is using all forms of support, in various ways!
For people that do not know, “us” is Me (Meghan Rinestine) and Chris Cobb. We are going as a team from Fort Worth, to attend a Simple Church Planting mission school in Kansas City, Missouri. There are about 12 of us who will be at All Nation’s Church Planting Experience. Over the next 8 months we will focus on the following: Sharing the Gospel, Simple Church, Cross Cultural Learning, Evangelism and Discipling, Operating in our Spiritual Gifts, Teamwork and Leadership, Church Planting and Aid Work, and Increasing Spiritual Life!
We are going to be keeping up with this blog on a consistent basis to update everybody interested in what is going on at CPx! Sometimes it will be me writing, and sometimes it will be Chris, that way you can get into both of our heads! Woo Hoo! Lord, please be with all of us this week. I pray that we honor you and seek you. That we make knowing you and listening to you, the focus of our day. I pray that we put our To-do lists aside, and at the beginning of each day, ask you what YOU would like us to do. That is freedom! Lord, we love you SO much! Thank you for loving us, befriending us, and restoring us to yourself! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
