So, we are here in the Kingdom of Cambodia!! We left on Wednesday Jan 13th and arrived 36 hours later in Cambodia! We went from DFW--> LA--> Tokyo--> Singapore--> Cambodia! We are 13 hours ahead of TX time so right now it is 4:14pm CAM, 3:15am TX! It was our first jetlag experience and woo it was an interesting few days! I barely made it to 9:00 here and woke up at 3 am! Our body clocks are pretty much adjusted now so it didnt take too long! We have officially been here 4 days and are slowly getting the swing of things! I am searching for materials and supplies for the hair school, and brainstorming how to teach the classes! We as a team will be teaching art, hair, english, computer skills, and playing sports/ teaching dance with the kids! These things will be great opportunities to really invest in the kids and get to know them! All of the people are pretty nice here and I am really falling in love with the culture here! Yes, there are a lot of social justice concerns, but I love the sense of family, people are ALWAYS around, you can talk to anyone! In fact, if you dont like people...i wouldn't suggest you come to cambodia! Lol! Its very very different than the states. Very few cars. Lots of motorbikes and tuk tuks. No real rules on the road, but everyone is quite polite and calm (unless your a foreigner!!) Almost every street has everything you need! The markets are amazing! So much stuff and so many family businesses! I dont have much time to write today but I will post some pictures! Thank you for all your prayers! Knowing we have people praying for us, and for God to move here amongst the people means more than anything! We are soo so so blessed to receive such love and support! I hope you really know that we couldn't do this with out you! God uses you in more ways than you will ever know!! :-) Miss you all bunches and want to know what is going on in your life as well, so feel free to email us and let us know how you are, and some things we can pray for!! Here is some pics:
